Wow. My little old blog has been VERY neglected over the past month. With Christmas craziness, it was just one of the many things I was able to put a side for a while until the craziness died down. We didn't get out of school until December 21st! Whew! After that I had some sort of family function every day through Christmas. It wore me out! Well, looking into January, I'm not sure the craziness is going anywhere, but I miss blog world so I am going to do my best to make time for my little place out here on the internet.
I thought I'd take the time to share with you guys my New Years Craft and Writing Activity.
BLAST OFF into 2013!
This is very similar to my Blast Off into a New School Year download that I posted back at the beginning of the year. It was a popular download, so I thought it would be fun to change it around into a New Year craft and writing activity. I did this craft at the beginning of the year so unfortunately I can't do it now. =( Hopefully some of you will be able to find this resource useful as you return to school in just a few short days! Teachers go back the 3rd. Yikes! TOO soon! =)
(Template/Journal Examples)
In this download you will find spaceship templates and journal sheets. On the journal sheets students will be able to write about why they think 2013 will be a blast!
Because it has been AGES since I have posted, and since I am doubtful anyone even reads this little old thing anymore, I will give New Years activity away to one random follower who comments on this post on New Years day. Simply leave me a quick comment and be sure to include your email address!
Hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas season and is getting ready to bring in 2013 with a bang!
I have read it and fully understand the craziness associated with Christmas time in the classroom and during break. Keep posting sister! Kelly Truby

The First Grade Dream
Crazy is an understatement this time of year! Love the rocket, we begin with a Solar System unit when we return to school after the holidays. This activity would tie in wonderfully well.
